Making the Most Of Everyday

I love sleep!

Who doesn't?

Lounging in bed, wrapped in blankets til 10 or 11am sounds amazing! But there is one problem....

Nothing is getting done!

You are stagnant!
Nothing is getting done!
Bills have to be paid!
Goals have to be achieved!

My friend asked me last night if I wanted to work out at 6am with him this morning. By no means am I a morning person and lifting weights and working hard at that hour sounds miserable. For some odd reason, I agreed to workout and then head to the baseball facility to do some hitting.

I completed my daily workout routine and finished hitting by 9am! I typically do not get out of bed til 930/10am and do not work out until noon. I am no more tired right now than I typically am despite sleeping 3 less hours. I now have the time and freedom to get a lot more done with my day.

Am I going to lift everyday from now on at 6am and hit at 8? No!

We still need to get adequate rest but sacrificing a few hours of sleep a couple of days a week is not going to kill ourselves.

Our time is limited and we must maximize each day, hour, minute and second we have. I remember speaking with one of my mentors and he told me that in order for me to reach my goals, sacrifices need to be made and sleep was going to have to be one of those sacrifices.

It makes sense! I physically cannot make my self a better baseball player by sleeping the day away.

I cannot create the financial future I want for myself by sleeping.

I cannot be a positive influence to others by sleeping.

Wake up!

Live your dreams!

Here is a little Monday Motivation to help you get going....

A Look Back

We are approaching a new year and hopefully a year with more blessings and achievements than the previous year. This is an important time to take a step back and analyze the past 365 days.

What did you do well?

What do you wish you changed?

Have you accomplished a significant amount of the goals you set out to accomplish?

Hopefully the good outweighed the bad in 2013.  Now is the perfect time to write down your goals for 2014.

Tomorrow, my friend Kyle Jones will be hosting a Goal Setting Webinar.  Kyle has been instrumental in getting me focused for the new year and building my business. I look forward to hearing Kyle's thoughts, ideas and strategies for us to takeover in 2014.

After the webinar I will share a few of the points that Kyle outlines so that you may benefit from them as well!

The MultiVitamin Debate

Are multivitamins worth your money?

Is there real nutritional value in multivitamins?

This is a question that has been hotly debated over the past few days.  New research suggests that multivitamins are not worth the money spent on them.

What is my point of view on it?

For the most part....I AGREE

Lets take a look at that multivitamin you are taking....

Your traditional multivitamin either comes in the form of a pill or gummy/chewable. There is a problem with each of these methods of taking vitamins....

Multivitamins in pill form contain fillers and binders. You may think you are getting XXXmg of Vitamin B and XXXmg of Vitamin C but you really are not!

Why????

As you ingest that pill, your body must break it down and digest it. This digestion process can take hours and by time your body is ready to absorb the nutrients, much of the nutritional value has been diminished.

Gummy or chewable vitamins taste great and are a great replacement for individuals who cannot swallow pills.  The amount of sugar in these vitamins makes them taste good but diminishes the nutritional value.

So what is the solution?!?!?

ISOTONIC VITAMINS!!!

What is isotonic?

Isotonic, meaning “same pressure,” bears the same chemical resemblance of the body’s blood, plasma and tears. This means that the body has less work to do to obtain maximum absorption of the nutrients. The isotonic state of the suspension allows nutrients to pass directly into the small intestine and rapidly absorb into the bloodstream. Little nutritive value is lost, making the absorption of nutrients highly efficient while delivering maximum results with great flavor as well.

What is Diamond's World?

Diamond's World is a place where I will be sharing my thoughts, feelings, aspirations, business ventures or anything else that I feel is worthy of sharing with the world.

How did I come up with the name for my blog?

The name 'Diamond' is a shortened version of my nickname, Black Diamond.  My teammates from the Cincinnati Reds called me that and the name has kind of stayed with me for the past few years.

Initially I wanted the blog to be called, The Diamond Vault but that name was taken and I came up with Diamond's World shortly after.

Stay tuned for my first REAL blog post!

"Diamonds are forever"
